ACC Soccer Hotting Up

With ACC soccer season approaching the midway point, the eventual title winner is as much anybody's guess as it was at the start of the season. A single win separates the top 6 teams on the men's side after 4 games have been played, with no team keeping a perfect mark in the conference. Perhaps the picture will become a little clearer this coming weekend as the Triangle hosts two key matchups as Maryland visits UNC on Friday night at the same time Virginia squares off against Duke in Durham.

The men's standings through this weekend are:

School Conference Overall

W L T Pts. W L T
Maryland 3 1 0 9 10 1 0
Virginia 3 1 0 9 10 1 0
Clemson 2 1 1 7 8 1 1

NC State 1 3 1 4 3 6 1

On the women's side, UNC has gotten off to a perfect 4-0 conference start but Wake Forest and Duke remain within three points of the lead. The current women's ACC standings are:
